Le Pain Quotidien hosts grand opening fundraiser for childhood hunger reliefPosted: October 7, 2011
The public is invited to join in the grand opening festivities as Belgian bakery and café Le Pain Quotidien opens its doors at Fashion Island by being part of a fundraiser aimed to “Help End Childhood Hunger.” The restaurant, which opens its doors to the public the week of October 17th, will host a fundraiser for Share Our Strength on Thursday, October 27th from 5-8 p.m. in its location within Fashion Island’s Pacific Court (1103 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach).
During the event, guests will be able to experience Le Pain Quotidien’s simple, elegant boulangerie fare featuring its renowned tartines, desserts, and organic beverages, all set around a communal table, a trademark piece for the restaurant. In addition to experiencing the energy and atmosphere of the 169-seat restaurant and its expansive 400-square-foot patio with stunning ocean views, the evening will include a firsthand glimpse into the locations on-site bakery – one of only two in the world – and see the secret behind the brand’s organic bread, which is still kneaded and shaped by hand.
Tickets are $40 per guest and can be purchased by contacting Judy Walker at 949-481-7792 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Le Pain Quotidien will donate 100% of sales to the local chapter of Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit whose goal it is to end childhood hunger in America.
